Your private and helpful representative will meet you at Alexandria Port according to your cruise ship's arrival schedule. He will warmly welcome you, and he will transfer you in a private, comfortable, and air-conditioned vehicle to begin your exciting adventure. You will meet your professional and licensed tour guide to discover the most important secrets of Egyptian civilization. Your first stop will be the well-renowned Giza Plateau, which is one of the world's most extraordinary and beautiful archaeological landscapes. You will see the three magnificent Giza Pyramids—a unique wonder that endures through the ages. The Great Pyramid, for instance, is composed of approximately 2.3 to 2.5 million massive stone blocks and features a remarkable interior design that includes rare, astonishing pivoting doors; each door weighs over 20 tons yet moves with the lightest touch.
You will see the admirable Sphinx, which remained important long after the Fourth Dynasty. During the New Kingdom, it was closely associated with the sun god and known as Horemakhet, which means Horus in the Horizon. You will also see the famous Valley Temple of King Khafre. This magnificent temple was not built from ordinary stones; rather, its core was constructed from massive, heavy blocks of local limestone, some weighing up to 100 tons each. We will take you to enjoy a delightful lunch at a nearby local restaurant, and then you will continue your enjoyable exploration.
You will enter the impressive Grand Egyptian Museum to see the massive monumental Grand Hall and Grand Stairs. The Grand Stairs feature 59 significant and dazzling artifacts and provide an amazing introduction to ancient Egyptian royal and religious traditions. You will be amazed by the Tutankhamun Galleries, which present the great young king's story through themes including his discovery, identity, funeral, special lifestyle, and ancient beliefs about the afterlife. More than 5,000 iconic artifacts from his tomb are brought together as part of this incredible collection.
After finishing the informative and enjoyable tour, we will transfer you back to Alexandria Port.
